About Me

My name is Jeff Swearingen, I'm a mostly retired tech founder, living in Austin, Texas, playing in Big Sky, Montana and Scottsdale, Arizona.

I'm a middle-class kid from Minnesota. Went to UT in Austin where I met my beautiful wife of 27 years, the mother of our 3 great kids.

Started my career in sales at NCR/AT&T, then a software company called Davox. Founded TheGift.com in 1997, sold to 1-800-Flowers in 1999.

Founded a software company called SecureLink in 2003, bootstrapped to sale to Vista Equity Partners in 2017, retired in 2018.

We spend our time between home base in Austin, Texas and Big Sky, Montana and Scottsdale, Arizona.

Enjoy golf, skiing, hiking, cycling, SCUBA and helping founders with their businesses. I invest in real estate and tech.
